Wirreanda Campground, Narracoorte

Wirreanda Campground can be found just beyond the turn off for the Narracoorte Caves. It is a quieter location than the campground in town and prooves to have some excellent perks. At the time when we visited there were all of three campers which meant that our children did not disturb too many people during the night time trips to toilet block.

The toilet block itself was clean and tidy and the only potential complaint is insufficient gradient in the shower cubicles to keep the water out of the change area. This was well and truly compensated by the free access to a washing machine and dryer in the laundry.

The venue also has a kitchen for those who stay in the bunk house which is also on offer. I am not sure how you go about booking into those rooms but I have no doubt the Narracoorte Tourist Information Center could help you out with that.

The cost of stay on the unpowered grounds was $21.00 per car, $13.00 per motorbike or $6 for hikers and cyclists. In our case, we thought $3.00 per head for a place to safely park and get a morning shower was superior value. No doubt we'll be back there again soon.
